Aya Takano, who has been painting a cosmic worldview free from earthly gravity and common sense, reached a major turning point after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. She began to confront the fundamental nature of the real world and reached a state of prayer and affirmation that embraces life and death through her works.
